The wedding was PERFECT. Everything turned out good. There were only a couple issues .... but overall it was a huge success. We did get the margarita fountain. 7 gallons baby. we drank all but 1/2 a gallon. about 40 guests showed up.
Friday before the wedding, Hijo and I met w/ our wedding coordinator and walked the walk ... it was sooo long that I decided I couldn't walk down by myself like I had previously planned. I asked one of my great friends and Hijo's best friend and the person that reunited Hijo and I .. to walk me down the aisle. T was very excited and felt very honored that I asked him. We also met with the pool bar manager in regards to the fountain. In talks over the phone, it was a no go, however Hijo charmed her and we were golden. I had to order the fountain from a party place and the bar supplied all the alcohol and mix. They also got us a bartender for our cabana, so we didn't have to worry about breaking any drinking laws.
Friday afternoon we headed to a buffet and I think there were about 15 of us. We all got the runs from it .. blah. Nice huh? We gambled a bit, went and saw a house band and just caught up with old friends. I went to bed early and left Hijo playing craps (he was winning and I didn't want to jinx him) He came to bed about an hour later ... so it was a pretty early night for us.
Saturday the guys headed out for a round of golf. They didn't get back until 5ish .... I got a pedicure for $65 dollars at the hotel (and it wasn't worth $10) .. oh well. I also took a much needed nap. I have to steal this precious sleep moments whenI'm not with my kids. I got up, got ready and headed out with the girls after seeing Hijo for maybe 10 minutes. He went out w/ the boys that night for a semi bachelor party (since we were already legally married) We went to "Rain" .. got in line (bumped up ahead of most of the line .. thanks Lou) and still would of had to wait about an hour .. and spend $25 for their cover charge. I just can't pay that much to go drink $10 drinks .... so we bailed and went to Jimmy Buffet's margaritaville for a couple of margs and some nachos. Another early night. Hijo didn't stay out too late either and we were up in just enough time to get ready for the wedding.
Sunday, got up took a shower and headed to Lou's room to get ready. Les came over to do my hair. A couple funny things happened ... the best however was us grabbing a quick smoke in the hallway and the fire alarms going off for the whole 7th floor .. CLASSIC. Luckily we didn't get busted. Once the alarms went off we RAN as fast as we could to the elevators .. passing the security people saying .. "hey we are soo late for the wedding" HAHA . Here is Lou's Take on Vegas
